Happy 12th Birthday Scott

Happy Saturday!
My first born is 12 today, I can't believe it's 12 years since I went into labour 7 weeks early and was in complete denial lol And who would have thought that that tiny wee bundle weighing 3lbs 5.5oz would turn into the strapping young man he is now.
This is Scott 12 years ago today...
that was the polaroid they took of him in the neonatal unit, to give to me until I was able to go see him. In fact I'm getting a bit emotional thinking about it.
Anyway, this is my big strapping lad now...

I'll show off some more pics tomorrow cos we're still mid-birthday lol
But in the meantime I thought I'd share the cards Willow and I made for him, here's Willow's one...
Willow has used Smitty Schoolboy digi from Saturated Canary Digis, and coloured him with her promarkers. She cut off one of the petals from a glittered foam flower she bought at the House of Sugar last weekend and used that as a sun.

And here's my card...
Image: Smitty Schoolboy from Saturated Canary Digis, coloured with promarkers and flexmarkers, the "son" stamp is papermania, paper is MS and star EF from The Papeterie

Better go find 12 candles for the cake, see ya!

Congratulations to the birthday boy! Hope you all have a fantastic day. I love the way you have co-ordinated the cards & that's a super idea for the sun on Willow's card. I love that hair colouring of yours & the shading of the letters is so effective too.

Your wee photo had me filling up too - the tiny wee mite reminded me of my own wee premature baby - she's 42 now but the memory stays with you forever :) And hasn't he grown - you could not tell that he had such a shaky start. Happy 12th to him and I hope he has a super day. Both cards are lovely, it's nice that you both used the same digi. I have to say Willow's is fabulous - love the sun and her colouring of the digi is terrific. Elizabeth x

Aw how sweet! I see that the "growed up" photo of him is in front of Claires - just a hint from an 11 year old son to a 12 year old...if you go to Claires you can look down the girls tops by looking in the angled mirrors around the top of the shop!!!! Happy Birthday!!! Sooooo - its up to you whether you pass that little gem onto him or not! lol

Happy Birthday to Scott. Seeing your polaroid brought back memories for me too. Still have mine after twenty-five years and I thought Elaine was little at 4lbs 12oz and three weeks early. Didn't hold her back any either. Looks like you've got some competition in your household with the colouring and card making. Both lovely cards.
