WOYWW - tidy??

Well, I've tidied it - I was so ashamed after last week's midden shot. And I would just like to thank all those of you who offered to take all my new goodies away lol
Ok here's a piccie of my desk, and then I'll get onto explaining a few things that were asked about last week...

A few of you asked or commented about my huge silver box of promarkers, well here's a few shots to show you. It is actually a DJ's CD box or some call it a CD Flight Case. This is the one I have. It comes complete with a few hundred suspension pockets designed to hold CD's. BUT I use it to hold and transport my promarkers. I've found it very handy for taking to demonstrations and classes.
I printed off the colour chart from here, onto the cardstock that I normally use my promarkers on (this way I get a true colour representation). I coloured sticky dots with each of the pens and stuck these dots onto the broad cap end so that I can easily see the colour.
I have arranged the promarkers as per the colour chart - I could easily fit the promarkers into a smaller box but I'm a bit on the pedantic side and wanted them set out the same as the colour chart. So there is a maximum of 5 promarkers in each pocket.
There is plenty of space in the lid, so behind the colour chart (which I laminated so it doesn't get grubby) I store a pack of card and some laminated colouring examples for taking to classes and demos. **Edited to add** Promarkers DO NOT need to be stored horizontally, they are quite happy to be stored vertically like I have done. HOWEVER Aquamarkers DO need to be stored horizontally, just in case you don't believe me, or don't want to take my word for it - check out what Paul has to say on the Letraset blog here.

Next up was the big boxes of glitter. Well actually those are 2 wee Really Useful Boxes that I picked up in Hobbycraft, and I emptied 2 bottles of Glamour Dust into the top one - the reasoning for this is, I will use wee scoops (this was part of a mini set that came out of our xmas crackers) and hold the item being glittered over the box - so in theory less chance of making a mess. The other box holds clear embossing powder.

So that's me for this week, sorry I only made it round a fraction of the WOYWWers last week - will try to do better this week.

WOYWW - it gets worse!

Let this be a cautionary tale for you all - like you don't know lol. This is what happens when little and big people are ill in the house and you don't get 5 minutes to yourself.

I finished some commissions for Letraset - which is why the big silver box of promarkers is up on the desk. So I had to rush away and box them all up for the courier. I also got a few parcels in the post - the big box of goodies I'd ordered in the Craft Obsessions sale - have to say I think they have the best sale. So I stocked up on quite a few Distress Ink pads that I didn't have, among other things. I got as far as dumping the box out onto my desk and then was called away to attend to one or other of the sickies in the house. Yesterday I also got wee parcels from Angel Crafts, Lili of the Valley and Sugar Nellie. So once I get the midden craftdesk all tidied up once more there should be much newness to share - although Graham goes offshore again tomorrow so it may well grind to a halt.

So if you fancy having a nosey at some hopefully much tidier desks lol then hop on over to Julia's Blog and join in the fun

WOYWW

Well I'm afraid this is what happens when I am flat out making calendars - I leave a midden like this. But I'll need to tidy it all up as I have work to do.
I had a wee jaunt over to The Papeterie today to stock up on double-sided and foam tape - a couple of naughty wee extras jumped into the basket, naughty things!! And I had a wee chat with Charlotte about some demonstrations and classes there over the next few months.
So if you are within travelling distance of Aberdeen and fancy coming to a demo or class using Letraset Promarkers then check my class/demo page for the upcoming dates.

While I was taking a quick pic of my midden desk, my silly Pepsi took the opportunity to sprawl on my bed...

So that's my embarrassing desk for this week, if you'd like to join in the fun and have a nosey at other desks around the world then hop on over to Julia's blog and hopefully I'll see you again next week.

WOYWW

well I haven't joined in at WOYWW for ages and ages, and the way my desk looked this morning I wasn't planning to join in today either. My poor crafty desk has been used as a dumping ground over the last couple of weeks and there was no telling what all was on it.
So I took a bit of a brainstorm and had a tidy up - am planning a bit of a clear out too so look out for some candy soon.

And of course what happens when you have a nice tidy desk? well it just makes you want to start crafting again doesn't it? so I emptied out the contents of the latest Angel Crafts ribbon kit - "a touch of pink" so I could be inspired. Aren't all those pink ribbons and bits n bobs so mouthwateringly tempting? Couldn't resist covering those beautiful twiddly Tando Creative butterfly shapes with glamour dust. And have you spotted the wee machine I got from Santa?

sorry about the shockingly bad photo - no daylight and used my phone.

So if you fancy joining in the fun, hop on over to Julia's blog and have a nosey round everyone else's desks

WOYWW & Promarker Storage

Yup, I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon that is WOYWW! I've been meaning to join in for ages, but quite frankly my workdesk has been a disgrace, and...... today is no different and I've got to the point where I'm not worried lol

So this is the bloody mess I call a desk, right after I finished my MIL birthday card...
So there's loads of stuff there, stuff from cards that I can't show you yet, and stuff that I have plans for - complete chaos, what can I say.

And so that you don't think I'm a complete disorganised wench, I thought I'd show you my fabby promarker storage. I got the idea from Nicky, but expanded slightly on it. I bought my cd storage case from eBay, and I made sure it was a larger one that had 3 bays for hanging the cd pockets - this way it can be arranged the same way as my colour chart.

As you can see, the promarkers fit into the cd suspension pockets perfectly
And this is the case all locked up and ready to be transported anywhere I'm teaching or demo-ing!

(I just want to apologise for the pics, I took them with my phone!)

New Baby 1

My boss at work, and friend Charlotte recently had her first baby so I had a few baby cards to make, on for Charlotte and her husband James,...
