Brave Little Sausage

Oh what a day yesterday turned into!
I was having a craft day, flat out making samples for this weekend and making Willow's birthday card. Graham was outside cutting the grass then started washing the car, Scott was playing his 3DS and the girls were outside playing.
Then all of a suddden Graham came bursting into the house, shouting for me in that urgent panicky way that just freezes your heart, and Faithy was screaming.
Well, we have a wooden swing/slide set in the garden that has a seesaw type swing on it for 2 kids, and apparently Faith walked too close to where it was swinging and it caught her just above her right eye and sent her flying.
So I gave it a quick clean and popped her up to the Children's A&E. 4.30pm on a Tuesday seems to be a good time to go to A&E because we were seen to almost immediately.
Faith was such a brave little soldier, never cried or moaned - did exactly what she was told and was quite amused at having to lie on the bed and get her steri-strips put on and some glue put on too. She didn't even flinch when the nurse took the first lot of steri-strips off because they weren't sticking down properly on her eyebrow.
So here's my brave little soldier...
She's been so good about not picking at the steri-strips, even though she has said they're itchy.

And today they don't seem to be bothering her at all. She's way too interested in all Willow's birthday presents.
Today is Willow's 7th birthday so I'll not spend any more time blogging - I'll be back tomorrow with all the birthday pics

Big Happy Birthday to Willow. Sorry to see poor wee Faith got hurt but she certainly was very brave. Wee ones really are incredible when it comes to injuries. I think we get worse as we get older.....well, I know I do anyway lol. Lee xx

Glad it wasn't more serious & that you were both on hand. It must have given both you & Graham quite a shock though.
Hope the birthday girl had a good day.
