The Tufty Club

I know I'm getting old - but I was a member of The Tufty Club, anyone else remember it?
Well the reason I mention it is, we were out to see my mum and dad at the weekend and
they have a number of red squirrels in their garden and visit the bird table....

Sorry the pics aren't great - they were taken on my phone through mums kitchen window :) I love how squirrels use their tails like umbrellas in the rain - they are just amazing little beasties, mum can tell the difference between them all, they all have their own little personalities.
When I go to mum and dad's I have to drive up this avenue of beech trees, it doesn't seem to matter what time of year, it always looks pretty...
again, sorry for the pic, this time I used my phone and took it through the windscreen of the car :S
Well it's raining again, I have the doctor this afternoon because my sore throat still isn't any better - that's 3 weeks now!

Thanks for visiting,
I appreciate any comments

Such cute wee critters ... just a shame they're so destructive.
Sorry to hear you're still unwell and hope the doc can help sort you out before it gets you down too much. I have another follow up appointment with doc tomorrow after the surgery in May. No quick fixes - recovery has been so slow.

Me too Debbie. I even had a Tufty road safety board game with pictures of the characters on top of the counters. Can't remember any of their names but loved the game. Only parted with it a few years ago. How sad am I.

I have to admit to being intrigued by the heading "Tufty Club!" Your Mum and Dad are so lucky to have red squirrels in their garden. They're great to watch. I remember watching them at Stirling Uni when I was there for an OU summer school a few years ago. Bet the kids love seeing what they're getting up to.

I hope you get your throat sorted. In Sweden my grandparents used to take me to the park & the red squirrels used to come & sit on my grandfather's shoulder. I'd not realised that about their tails & rain - thanks for a delightful post & pics. Raining here too.
