The Papeterie Craft Retreat

At last, I have time to tell you about The Papeterie's very first Craft Retreat - I think it's pretty safe to say everyone who attended absolutely loved it. And from an organiser/tutor point of view it was definitely worth all the hard work and planning. Look out for some news about the next one on The Papeterie's facebook page later today.

Kath and Erika have already posted the projects they were making for their workshops so I thought I's share what I was doing at my workshops.
First up we made a Colour Journal - I wanted to illustrate the point that Promarkers and Flexmarkers work perfectly together and this was the ideal project for that.
Image: Anemone Corner from Indigo Blu, coloured with Aubergine and Purple promarkers and Wild Orchid flexmarker
Letters cut from Diamond White and Black card from The Papeterie using the Tim Holtz Word Play die - I used a selection of promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the white letters
The journal was made from 2 pieces of chipboard (available in the loose fill a box range at the Papeterie) and Diamond white for the covering and for the pages. All bound together with the Bind-It-All

I also printed off some mini versions of the charts I put together - you can download these A4 size from here.

The rest of the journal pages are blank Diamond White - so you can stamp or stick in stamped images and colour them - with enough space to note the colours used. It makes a great reference when you find colour combinations you like.
I'll be back with another project tomorrow .

Hi Debbi
I love this journal. I have a Bind It All and have only used it a couple of times - I really must put that right LOL!
I so wish I lived near enough to join you on one of these workshops - I bet it was so much fun.
Going to look at the other ladies' blogs now to see what they got up to.

Love, Andrea xx
