Happy New Year

I just wanted to come on today and wish everyone a healthy, happy, prosperous and creative 2013.
We've said goodbye to 2012, which was a year of great things, but also some sad events and losses. But today we're going to look forward to some great and exciting things happening this year.

I haven't made any new year's resolutions - it's not my style, but I am going to try to blog more. I've found myself neglecting blogland, both posting here and visiting blog friends - facebook tends to occupy the majority of my online life. But I'm going to also try to be more creative for fun, not just work - last year I found myself not having very much time to create for anything other than work, and when I did have the time I wasn't in the mood.

I was one of the runner-up winners in Krista's 12 days of Christmas Pinterest Contest, so I'm absolutely thrilled that she'll be turning my idea into a character - I can't wait to see how he turns out. Here's the link to my Saturated Canary Inspiration Board on Pinterest if you want to see what my entry was like. :)  I've no doubt this will inspire me to get creating some male cards and creations. I am one of what seems to be a rare breed - I love making cards for boys and men, I think it's the challenge that I enjoy. I've got a couple of male family birthdays coming up this month and next, so he's going to get plenty of use.

I've also been inspired by Tim's start to 12 Tags of 2013, I love the whole clocks/cogs/film strip look so as soon as I get the craft area gutted I'm going to give that a try too.
So lots to keep me occupied, and I'll be getting together with some people to make plans for the coming year with teaching and demonstrating, so watch this space :)
