1st Day

Do you know, I was a little overwhelmed by all the lovely messages about my new job - thank you all :)
I had a great first day, spent half the day on my induction - learnt loads about the Company and the rest of the Mill, fascinating stuff this paper-making you know. Then spent the rest of the afternoon helping with wedding orders, answering the phone, helping customers and learning how to use the till. The lovely Charlotte has loads more in store for me, can't wait.

I'd hoped to come home today and get stuck into some crafting, but the photographer was still here when I got home. My mum won a competition (she enters loads and wins quite often) and the prize was this photographer comes to your house, sets up his mobile studio, takes loads of pics then comes back a week or so later with them so you can choose which ones you want. So my mum wanted a pic of all 4 of her grandchildren... my 3 and my nephew. As you can imagine, there was complete bedlam when I got home - but all the kids co-operated and I'm expecting some pretty good shots. Although I did have to bribe Willow, she's like me and is very camera shy.

Will be back tomorrow to let you know how I got on today at work, being let loose on customers for real lol

Well of course I'm lagging behind (no change there then!) so I've only just read your post from yesterday.
I hope you've enjoyed your day at work...can't really think of a nicer place to work (swap with you any day!)but I remember how hard it was when I went back after having Hal.
Hal would've been 2 at the time and I dropped him off at nursery and cried all the way to work for the first couple of weeks. Of course Hal was fine and loved nursery!

Have fun!

What a great job for you Debbi, just the ideal place to work. Even though I read your post yesterday I completely missed that it was at the Papeterie (?? how did I manage that?) I'm sure you're managing no bother, even the till. You just need to watch out with these tricky customers!!

Hi Debbi
I popped over with the intention of gobbling up all the 'goss' following the weekend retreat and scrolled a wee bit further back - AS YOU DO!- only to find you've gone and got yourself a job! ... and at The Papeterie too! Fan-bloomin-tastic! No doubt you've settled in nicely by now but I just wanted to congratulate you anyway.

Luv'n'Stuff
