Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy Competition - WOW!

Have you seen the fantabulous Simply Sassy Competition that Karen is running over on the Sugar Nellie blog? If you haven't then you need to get over there pretty sharp-ish! Up for grabs is a brand spanking new Spellbinders Grand Calibur machine - which IMHO would look Simply Sassy-licious under my tree this year :)

There are gonna be loads of entries because that isn't the only prize - but you'll have to pop over to the Sugar Nellie blog to see what else is up for grabs. But you have to be in it to win it.

Now as you know, I'm not very au fait with White on White which is the challenge for Round 1 of the competition, but I've spent a lot of time with this even if it does look very simple.

Image: Pillow Talk from Sugar Nellie, coloured with promarkers, and accented with glamour dust
Card is all snowflake core'dinations cardstock. I used me new Tim Holtz design ruler to pierce all the holes and then handstitched the quilting effect (mental note to self - don't do that again, just get out the sewing machine!)
The mat for the image was made using the new Stampin' Up punches that I got from Anne and the flower was made using a Marianne D creatables die and some narrow white satin ribbon (and more glamour dust)

I wanted to do something a little different with her eyes (it's such a novelty to be able to colour the irises of these stamps) and went with a kind of hazel-ish colour using Walnut, Cinnamon and Olive.

If you don't have any of these Simply Sassy stamps then you can get them over on Funkykits where you'll find all 3 releases - the latest release includes boys and they are fab.
Now that I've got the kids installed in front of the wii, I can get on with wrapping and hiding pressies. I've managed to do most of my xmas shopping online again this year and despite the amount of snow we have here the various couriers and my trusty postie have managed to deliver everything in a timely manner - so am very impressed.
I've also decided that I'm not going to get bent out of shape about making all my xmas cards this year - I'm not making any more this year so will have to go out and buy some for the shortfall.

Stay safe and warm
