1st August

Goodness me, where has the year gone, it's the 1st August already - just a couple weeks left of the summer holidays.
I have something exciting to announce tomorrow - watch this space!!
Anyway, as the C word is getting ever closer I thought I'd share the last of my samples from the weekend..
This card featured a very clever little technique called the reverse stencil technique - here's the link to the YouTube video
Hero Arts greeting, heat embossed onto black card from The Papeterie, inked with silver pigment ink. Parisian Motifs spellbinders die
white card from The Papeterie embossed with cuttlebug snowflake EF, gingham ribbon from Angel Crafts.
I'd like to enter this card into...
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - Monochromatic

Image: Bubble & Squeak from Sugar Nellie, coloured with promarkers
Papermania kraft card embossed with and cut Parisian Motifs spellbinders dies

I'd like to enter my wee mice into
Less is More - feeling fruity
Card Makin Mamas - food & drink
Charisma Cardz - 4 legged friends

Here's my little protege, hard at work, in my bed.... **edited to add - there is no way on earth I would let my kids touch my promarkers, they know that to touch mum's promarkers is to take their life in their hands. Willow has started her own collection, she does wee jobs round the house to help me and payment is in promarkers**
and while she was working, this little sneak was sleeping at the bottom of the bed....

Remember to come back tomorrow for some exciting news.

Delightful photos - love the cheeky look on Pepsi's face - & your protege's concentration is almost palpable. Love the glass on that bottle & the grapes are glorious. Thet ehnique on the first looks quite intriguing too.

Beatiful cards Debbi. Great colouring on the 2nd one and love the embossing on both.

Looks like Willow's taking after you with her love of colouring. She seems to be building up a nice little collection of Promarkers. And how cute is Pepsi!!? If one of my boys lay on a bed I think you'd be bounced off the other end!

Fabulous Crimbo cards, Debbi!! Love the frame and colours!! Gorgeous pic of your girl hard at work - sorry to say that my middle son is 20 and still pinches my PMs for his graphic work! Even given him a few doubles but it hasn't worked! Hugs, Juliexx

how sweet! she looks so hard at work!:) i think it's so great when our kids get involved in the things we are passionate about-- things we like to do. plus, they get a head start...can you imagine how she will color when she is an adult?!?!?! i bet her cards are already challenge worthy!:) great idea-- that marker incentive! will take that into thought...some chores for art supplies might be just what niamh needs to get her room cleaned up:)

have a great week lovely lady! xoxo
