Passion for Promarkers #12 - Cocoa & Rose Pink

This week's challenge at Passion for Promarkers is to use the colours Cocoa and Rose Pink - this is a super colour combination - who can resist pink and brown together? Natalie chose these fab colours this week and the DT have some crackers of examples for you.

Being a typical Aquarian, I wanted to try something a little different this week and chose not to use a stamped image at all. I used a card that I got from famous Kath as inspiration for it.

Anyway, we'd love to see as many of you enter that can, this week's prize is a £10 gift voucher to spend on any of the craft supplies and children's crafts at Baker Ross

This is a great place to buy crafty stuff for kids - ideal to keep them occupied during the duller or wetter days. I've bought loads form here, they also have a terrific selection of craft blanks eg wee gift boxes, pencil boxes bags etc. And I'm going to be really cheeky here and ask you all a favour - if any of you place an order at Yellow Moon, when you checkout there is a page that will ask you for a source code so that the commission on your order goes to a charity or group. As many of you know I'm the secretary/treasurer and co-founder of Extra Special Parents which is a support charity for parents and carers of children with special needs. Our source code is SSH10729 and I would really appreciate it if you could use that so that ESP receives the commission.

So this is my DT card this week...

Each flower was made with 2 each of 2 different sized woodware daisy punches and plain white card. I coloured one of each size with cocoa promarker and the other 2 with rose pink promarker. I embossed each petal, layered them up and added cream buttons tied with the pink satin ribbon that comes tied around the card blanks and envelopes in a pack of Anita's card blanks - waste not, want not!! The leaves were cut freehand from the same white card and coloured with meadow green promarker then inked the edges with papermania brown inkpad.

the papers are Papermania Scrumptious, the greeting is Daisy & Dandelion and I doodled the stems with black sakura micron pen.

Here's a close-up of one of the flowers...

So pop on over to Passion for Promarkers to see all the other DT cards, there's some fantastic inspiration this week again.

Great card, Debbi. What a nice change to see the flowers as the focal point, rather than an image.

Lovely.

Very different Debbi, great flowers!
Can I ask advice from you since we live in the same general area? I meant to ask the other day when you said you were going to Staples - what card do you recommend for use with Memento ink and Promarkers?
Thanks for your help, I know you will.
