Whiff of Joy Challenge #27

As you know, I love working from sketches - I find the layout of a card the hardest part, and this takes all the hard work out of it for me, so I was chuffed to see this week's Whiff of Joy Challenge was a sketch by Heather

I have bought so many new stamps lately, that I've not had time to get many of them coloured in, so this also gave me a chance to colour my favourite image from the Elisabeth Bell/Whiff of Joy Spring Kit.

Image: Willow with flower basket from the spring kit at Whiff of Joy, coloured with promarkers

Papers: black/white polka dot from CCSR The Big One, red patterned - Basic Grey Cupcake  - edges distressed and faux stitching with black micron pen, plain red card with faux stitching heat embossed using silver papermania embossing powder

Embellishments: red grosgrain ribbon attached with staples, chipboard swirl from Basic Grey - Bittersweet chip sticker shapes coloured in with black promarker, prima flowers, red flower button and silver thread, greeting from kanban

Here's a close-up of the image, have had a bash at doing black hair - not terribly happy with it, but I guess it'll take a bit more practice.

For those of you who have been asking after Mar - I have posted a wee update on her blog tonight, and if you have any smelly old kaftan's lying around, send them her way lol

The colouring of the hair is fine Debs, nothing wrong with it at all, I hate colouring with black, always try to avoid it if I can, but this card is fab, and I love these images, thjere are just so many fab images around just now.
