Ruby Wedding

I don't think I ever shared the mini album thingy I made for my mum and dad's ruby wedding anniversary. They celebrated 40 years of marriage at the end of November so I thought I'd make them a keepsake.

ribbons are all from Angel Crafts or from my stash
the brown and red core'dinations card is Jenni Bowlin from Simply Create
the stamps are all Hero Arts
patterned paper is MME Lost & Found, Union Square and glitter paper from Simply Create
I just want to thank Anne at Simply Create very much for helping me select supplies for this album - Anne you were a fantastic help and the MME paper was just the perfect choice!
As you can see, I'm not much of a scrapbooker - but mum was chuffed to bits with it and dad thought the group photo was highly amusing

I'd like to enter it into the following challenges...
Allsorts Challenge - anything goes
Crafty Catz - anything but a card #41
Paper Play Challenges - anything bit a card

have you entered my xmas candy yet? only 5 days left to enter.

Happy Anniversary to the Outlaws

Today is Graham's parents' wedding anniversary - I have no idea which one as I'm still waiting for Graham to find out for me!! But I'd imagine its quite a big one as they're both 80 now. So this is the card I made for them.
Image: Love Birds from Digistamp Boutique (link on sidebar), coloured with promarkers: Rose Pink, Poppy and Maroon. The image and mat were cut using my brand new Labels 8 nesties in the cuttlebug and I doodled some faux stitching round the embossed edge of the image. The mat is core'dinations card as is the pink panel that I have edged with another new thing lol my Martha Stewart arched lattice border punch. I added Anita's organza ribbon and smirk grosgrain ribbon to this panel plus a locket charm from my stash
The flowers were cut from plain card and coloured with Rose Pink and Poppy promarkers, and I added Papermania heart shaped gems to the flowers and the top right corner.

Happy Anniversary Mum & Dad

My mum and dad celebrate their 38th wedding anniversary tomorrow so I thought I'd quickly throw up a post with a pic.

I used a pearlescent gold card blank, the flowers were made using 2 different shades of purple Core'dinations card which was embossed using the swirls embossing folder in the cuttlebug, distressed using the BG files and then punched with various sizes of Woodware daisy punches. The pot was cut from terracotta coloured Core'dinations card and again embossed with the swirly folder and distressed with the BG files. The leaves and curly bits were cut freehand from some olive green Core'dinations card. And there were a few glittery brads from Papermania and a silver greeting peel off.
