My Sweet Valentine
well it's the last day of the kids' half-term/in-service days so I'm taking them to the local Brewsters to play so that I can minimise the devastation at home.
So today I thought I'd share a wee Valentine project that Letraset asked me to do for their blog.
You can find the step by step tutorial over on the Letraset blog.
Image: Making Valentines from Saturated Canary, coloured with promarkers and flexmarkers on Diamond White card from The Papeterie.
The box used to be a Lindor choc box, painted with "Paloma" Annie Sloan Paint, stamped with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink and Kaisercraft grunge texture stamp. Red grosgrain ribbon from stash and fleur de lis nestabilities die to cut the red card (from The Papeterie)
I'd like to enter her into:

Prep & Sanding
In between I'm trying to keep the kids from completely trashing the house now that they're on holiday.
So thought I'd rattle off a quick post before I make some supper for the masses.
As promised I'm back with the red-haired Sassy that I started at the Ellon Craft Group on Monday. We decided there that it would be good to do the rest of her in shades of grey to really emphasise her hair colour so, what do you think?
Image: Pillow Talk from Sugar Nellie, coloured with promarkers
the background paper is just plain white card stamped with Prima script background stamp and versafine ink, layered onto black card. And I was inspired by the Ellon Craft Groups heart honeycomb challenge to make the wee heart in the top left corner
**Edited to add** I used the following promarker colours:
hair: Burgundy, Poppy, Lipstick Red, Baby Pink.
skin: Burnt Orange, Coral, Sunkissed Pink, Blush.
eyes: Denim Blue, Midnight Blue
clothing: Ice Grey 1-5
cushions etc: Warm Grey 1-5
It's a joy fold card to fit in with the Sugar Nellie FB group's challenge this week, and I'd also like to enter her into...

Passion for Promarkers #33
Here we are at week #33 over at Passion for Promarkers and our first challenge of 2010. The incredibly talented Michele has chosen this week's theme of Love/Valentine plus a sketch - and you can use ANY COLOURS of ProMarkers.
We like to be ahead of the game here at PfP so this will give you a chance to make your partner/hubby/boyfriend/significant other a card in plenty of time.
Michele has put together this fabulous sketch for you all to use, and you know how I love a good sketch - takes all the hard work out of the card and lets the creative juices flow a bit easier.
This weeks prize is a pack of 5 ProMarkers which is kindly sponsored by Letraset.
So, here's my effort. I really enjoyed putting this card together - I used a stamp I've had since before xmas that had never been inked up and some fabulous papers that I bought quite a few months ago from Simply Create in Alford.
Here's Suzi's close-up...

Should I or shouldn't I?
oh what to do! lol
I managed to get a bit of time last night to have a go at 3rd Sugar Bowl Challenge, this time the theme is "Love and Romance"

I used some pink core'dinations card from the Black Magic collection as a card blank - its very effective with the black on the outside and the pink on the inside of the card. I used the swiss dots embossing folder to emboss the front of the card in the cuttlebug, I then distressed the raised areas and the edges with the Basic Grey files. I coloured the image "Claudia the artist" with letraset promarkers, and watercolour pencils to do the shading. The image, the mat and the greeting spot was cut using the labels 1 nestabilities. I added 3 red papermania brads to the bottom right hand corner of the image. Distressed the edges of the mat with the BG files. Added a rub-on to the greeting spot. I used some heart shaped metal shapes from papermania as charms, attaching them with thin gold-coloured wire and black brads from papermania.

That's my valentines card for Graham done - woohoo
I struggled a wee bit to begin with, with this challenge as I don't have any particularly lovey dovey or valentine-y stamps. But I thought Claudia has a kinda sexy alluring feel to her so that would do just fine.
