More Samples

Here's the last few samples from my Demo Day at Kitty Krafts - thought I'd share them while I remember...

The first two are using a gorgeous Hero Arts cling stamp called  Bouquet In A Vase

The next one is Dexter from Sugar Nellie...
And these last ones are all Penny Black Hedgies...

And this one's my favourite...

Of course all images were coloured with promarkers, the papers on the 1st and 3rd cards are Imaginisce, on cards 2, 4 and 5 are Dovecraft - Back to Basics and the papers on the last card are American Crafts.

The very last

As promised, I'm back with the last 3 xmas cards for this year. I was asked by one of the ladies who come to help me with Willow to make cards for her 2 sons and her nephew. She tells me her boys loved them, they were so chuffed and so was she.

After being so inspired by the easel card that we made at Judy's class at Simply Create at the beginning of December I decided to make some more.

Images are all Santa's from Digistamp Boutique, coloured with promarkers as always. I also added papermania glitterflock to his beard and trim, glamour dust to the snow and sakura clear glaze pen to his belt, boots and Rudolph's nose (you'll see this better in the close up at the bottom)
cardstock is all core'dinations, panels embossed with cuttlebug snowflake folder, patterned paper is Daisy & Dandelion. Ribbon is from Hobbycraft, Martha Stewart and Dovecraft snowflake punches were used with glitter paper. Hobbycrafts adhesive gems. Hero Arts greetings

Here's the close-up...

So finally, that's the xmas cards all done and dusted and out the door - thank goodness. Lots of people still ended up with bought cards and I'm sorry - but with 3 kids, 2 cats, a dog, a man who is away 2 weeks out of 5, self-employment, a charity to run, well I kinda ran out of time lol

Now I just need to pick up some vouchers for my dad's xmas, take something back to exchange it at Toys R Us, finish the other 5 crackers and I think I'm sorted (fingers crossed) Have been back into my Tesco grocery order umpteen times because I keep remembering things I'll need, and it gets delivered on Wednesday.

Speak to you tomorrow, but be warned - I might not be in the best of humours, its Graham's last day at home.

Family Xmas cards

Well, I'm just not going to get all my xmas cards made this year so I'm concentrating on close family and friends. To make my life a bit easier we got some photo's taken of the 3 kids and I decided to use them for family xmas cards this year - makes it all a bit quicker and easier really, so here's a batch I made this week...

I made them all a little different - I'd be bored to tears making them all the same. And used a selection of Dovecraft, DCWV, Daisy & Dandelion and CraftHouse papers. All card for mats was either gemstone or plain core'dinations. I used a selection of Martha Stewart Around the Page punches, Kanban greetings, Martha Stewart snowflake punches, craftwork cards card candy and an X-cut corner rounder punch.

Seeing as I purchase the pic on CD with the copyright waiver, I can show you the actual picture I used.

and here's them in black and white - I particularly like this one

Pink Post-its

This is Willow's first xmas at school and she's taking part in the Nativity play which they have called "Donkey For Sale" and I can't wait. Although I'm a bit gutted - she was chosen to be one of the angels, but decided that she didn't want to be an angel, and wanted to be a musician instead so that she could use a shaker! I was so looking forward to seeing her dressed up as an angel. Probably more so because I played the Angel Gabriel when I was in my nativity play many many moons ago.
In fact, do you want to see me?

There I am, second angel from the left lol and my claim to fame is - it was my doll that played baby Jesus :)

Anyway, moving swiftly on, I promised a pic of the pink version of yesterday's post-it holders. This one is for Willow's teacher, and she insisted on it being pink.

Image: Teacher Anya from the Greeting Farm (again, thankyou Natalie for stamping these up for me xx) coloured with ProMarkers: Orchid, Amethyst, Purple, Arctic Blue and Sky Blue, Pink Carnation and Fuchsia, Blush.
The card is core'dinations, the paper is Doodlebug, the greeting is Daisy & Dandelion, the snowflakes are Dovecraft and MS punches from scrap card.

Here's another view and Anya's close-up...

Xmas Manga in Pink, Purple and Blue

As promised here's the same manga stamp, but done in a different colour scheme. It amazes me how different one stamp can look when you use a different colour way. I think out of all the Xmas Manga's from Sugar Nellie, this one has to be my favourite.

Image: Baubles from Sugar Nellie, coloured with promarkers: Blush and Pale Pink for her skin, Orchid and Purple for her hair, and boots, Carnation and Fuchsia for her dress, Blue Pearl and Bluebell for her tights, Cerise, Bluebell, Purple and Arctic Blue for the baubles.
Matted onto gemstone core'dinations card cut using the labels 9 nesties in the cuttlebug, snowflakes cut from gemstone core'dinations card and DCWV glitter card using a dovecraft snowflake punch and cut in half. Paper is a freebie from a magazine last year and the greeting is from my stash

Here's her close-up...

Passion for Promarkers #13 - Pumpkin & Prussian

Hiya, are you all set for Halloween yet? well over at Passion for Promarkers we are :)

This week's colours are Pumpkin and Prussian with a Halloween theme, chosen by Sarah. I have to admit I wasn't too thrilled to begin with - I don't normally make Halloween cards or decorations, but boy this was actually lots of fun.

So this week you could win a £10 voucher to spend at

Remember, to be in the prize draw you MUST use the challenge colour promarkers (this week its Pumpkin & Prussian) predominantly on your creation AND you must also stick to any other criteria stated (this week its a Halloween theme)

I don't have a huge selection of Halloween stamps or images, and rather than go out and buy some I decided to trawl the internet for free images - I've found the best way to do this is to enter something like "print and colour Halloween" into google. So the image I have used is from Hello Kids.

First I made the wee trick or treat sweetie bag, but I thought that was too easy so I made a matching card...

Image: from Hello Kids, coloured with promarkers; Pumpkin for the pumpkin - I shaded it with Mandarin and did the lighter lines on it by using the blender pen. Prussian for the witch's hat, dress and cape and also for the monsters tongue (again I used the blender pen to add texture) Lime for the witch's tights, sleeves, patches and the monster, Grass for the witch's eyes, hair and parts of the monster. Warm grey 3 and 4 for the cut out parts of the pumpkin. And finally magenta for the lollipops.

Pumpkin paper is Rusty Pickle, Adams Family - Grandmama. Black Magic core'dinations card was used for matting the image on the gift bag (cut using circle scallop nesties in the cuttlebug) and also for the spiders web on the card - I did this using the spiders web cuttlebug embossing folder and sanded the raised areas. Orange core'dinations card was used to mat the spiders web.

The lettering was cut using the cuttlekids Fairy alphabet dies, purple ribbon is dovecraft, the fabulous wee greeting buttons I won the other day from Whimsie Doodles

And last but not least I made the wee spider charm by drawing a spider freehand with black promarker onto shrink plastic and then heating to shrink it. Then I attached it with metallic thread.

I thought you might like to see a few close-ups of the image and the fab greeting buttons from Whimsie Doodles....

So, pop on over to Passion for Promarkers and see what the other DT members have done to show you.

Sketch Saturday's #53 Birthday Bash

Here's how it works...

We want to thank Sketch Saturday challengers so this is why it's only open to SS entrants!
(we will be checking!)

As I mentioned yesterday, I'm involved in a few image swaps at the moment and I thought I'd show another 2 folders I have made

The pictures of this one have come out a bit bleached - the card is far deeper red, and the GG's hair is scarlet.

Gorjuss Girls and Miss Anya Image folders

Am doing a couple of image swaps at the moment - and of course I like to make presentation folders for the stamped images that I swap. I do keep them simple though. So here's the first 2, and I'm not going to say who is getting which one - so it'll be a bit of a surprise.

Sugar Bowl Challenge #7 - Spring or Easter

I'm going to try and have another bash at this challenge if I get time as I'm not too sure if I like this one or not. The theme this fortnight over at the Sugar Bowl is Spring or Easter, so of course it was the perfect opportunity to use one of the new Elisabeth Bell Spring designs - Chick-a-dee from Sugar Nellie. Sorry about the photograph once again, it was taken under the flourescent light in the kitchen, so not exactly ideal.

Image: Chick-a-dee from Sugar Nellie, coloured with promarkers

Cardstock: yellow, green and orange core'dinations, the yellow is sanded round the edges, the green is embossed using the paisley folder in the cuttlebug, and the orange is cut using the oval scalloped nestabilities in the cuttlebug and sanded.

ribbon: dovecraft

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there, I hope you're having a wonderful, pampered and relaxed day.

I made this card for a commission for an old school chum (Hi Mike!) and decided to use the Whiff of Joy Challenge #22 rules  which are to use green, to kill two birds with one stone.

Image: Willow with Cookies from WoJ, coloured with promarkers and white gelly roll for highlights

Papers are all from the new Daisy & Dandelion A5 paper pack, the papers were inked with papermania green ink pad, green core'dinations card for matting and layering.

Dovecraft daisy grosgrain ribbon and papermania clear gems

The flower inside was punched with Woodware Daisy punches from the Daisy & Dandelion papers

The verse inside reads:

Here's wish you a Mother's Day,

That's filled with every pleasure,

And a future that's as happy,

As the memories you treasure.

New Baby 1

My boss at work, and friend Charlotte recently had her first baby so I had a few baby cards to make, on for Charlotte and her husband James,...
