Last Minute Details

Well, I think we'll all set for tomorrow's GJWTHF at The Papeterie - I'll try to tweet some pics during the day, you can follow me on twitter by clicking on the button near the top of my sidebar. Can't wait to see some familiar faces and some new ones :)
The kitting isn't all done and dusted yet though - I'm away to make a start on kitting for the projects we'll be doing at the craft group in Ellon on Tuesday night.I have a cunning plan, but I need to do a mock up to see if it's going to work - which reminds me, I better go get the supplies out of the boot lol.

I managed to get a commission card done this week too - a friend of mine wanted a "girly card for a 21st birthday", so this is what I came up with. I followed a similar design that I did a wee while back featuring a Saturated Canary image.
Image: Soho from KennyKDownloads, coloured with flexmarkers. I used Scallop Circle Grand nesties to cut the card base and the layers of white and pink card (all from The Papeterie) I used the paisley M-Bossibilities folder to emboss the white panel. Pink bling is from Kaisercraft, butterflies were punched with an EK Success layering punch.

I'd like to enter her into....
Moving Along With The Times - Va Va Voom
Paper Play Challenges - Shaped Card
Fab n Funky - embossing
Flutterby Wednesday - butterflies

Thanks for visiting,
I appreciate any comments

Stampavie Demo Pt 1

Oh where does the time go? I haven't blogged in a wee while, the last week has gone by in a bit of a blur - and the next couple of weeks are going to be the same.
So what have I been up to? well this Saturday past I was demo-ing Stampavie stamps and promarkers with ultra-fine nibs and teaching a class at The Papeterie. So I thought I'd share a couple of samples today and a couple more tomorrow. I must apologise for the glare on some of the pics, I had already bagged them up before I remembered to take pictures.
This is the first stamp I chose - and the reason is, it reminds me of Princess Pepsi...
Image: Spring has Sprung from Stampavie (the Laurence Collection), coloured with promarkers
white card from The Papeterie, embossed with cuttlebug swiss dots and Tim Holtz Rays texture fades folders. Kraft cardstock from Papermania, MS border punch and nestabilities

thanks to the ultra-fine nibs for the promarkers, I can now colour all the fine detail on stamps like these.
I'd like to enter this one into:
Diecut Dreams Challenge - 4 Legged Animals
Hooked On Craft Challenge - Cute and Cuddly
Stamp With Fun - Friends
Fab n Funky - animal magic

I don't know about you, but the hardest cards to make, in my opinion are ones for teenage boys. Now I don't suppose they would think my sentiment is particularly clever, but I hope that they would like this card...
Image: Paul Texting from Stampavie (Mo Manning), coloured with promarkers
Papers are all MME Lime Twist - Out of The Blue, black card from The Papeterie, letters are Kaisercraft, buttons and twine from stash
I'd like to enter my texting teen into...
Fabulous Friday Challenge - buttons
Totally Papercrafts - One for the boys
My Mums Craft Shop - For A Teen

Today is my baby's birthday, she's 5! ok I know that's no longer a baby really, but she's my youngest and will always be my baby. She's had a terrific day and got thoroughly spoiled. Nana and granda were round with my nephew Kyle and of course there was the obligatory cake.
So here's a few pics of Faith's day...

Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy Competition - WOW! try 2

I am really loving this white on white technique, and it goes without saying that I love the Simply Sassy stamps so I thought I'd have another bash at the Simply Sassy Competition over at Sugar Nellie.
There are some fabulous prizes including this...
wouldn't that look fantabulous under your tree? although it would look much better under mine lol. You will find all the competition info and rules here, and you can upload your entries here

Image: Artistic Goddess from Sugar Nellie coloured with promarkers
Cardstock is all core'dinations snowflake - I have used the swiss dots cuttlebug folder, the butterfly crafts too folder, Tim Holtz rosette die, MS border punch, nesties labels 10 and tonic butterfly punch to cut, shape and emboss.
The fluffy trim and adhesive pearls are from my stash and the greeting is craftwork cards

I'd also like to enter this card into the Sugar Bowl challenge as I've followed Maria Therese's sketch (for the added element of snowflake - the card colour is called snowflake)

Happy Birthday Matthew

Matthew is my BFF, Pamela's eldest son and he is 16 today!!

I'm pretty sure you all know how hard it is to make a card for a teenage boy, and knowing Matthew, I thought the best way to go was to keep it simple.

Images: skull boyz by Sugar Nellie - I have used a pastel blue promarker to accentuate the shading and doodled the greeting with sakura micron pen

I used WordArt on MS Publisher to make an oversized "16" template, then cut it from Black Magic Core'dinations card. Then embossed in the cuttlebug with the happy birthday folder, and sanded to show the blue colour core.

The card base is grey SU cardstock

New Baby 1
