1st Annual 2 Sketches 4 You Ultimate Card Showdown

I saw one of my DT teamies - Ida - had entered the 1st Annual 2 Sketches 4 You Ultimate Card Showdown and she has made a fab card for it. As you know, I'm a huge fan of sketches so I thought I'd give it a try too.

Image: Little Miss Attitude from Sugar Nellie, coloured with promarkers (highlighted with white Inkssentials pen and sakura clear stardust)

I used a plain white square Anita's card blank and removed about 1cm from one edge of the front of the card. The lilac patterned paper is from the Daisy & Dandelion A5 paper pad, and the top scallop edge was made with the Fiskars threading water border punch. Over the top of this I attached a piece of purple core'dinations card which I had run through the cuttlebug with the paisley embossing folder.

The image was matted onto lilac core'dinations card and plain white card, I inked the edges of the card with a purple chalk ink pad. I then attached the image piece so that the bottom edge was over hanging the bottom edge of the card by about 1cm.

This picture shows it better...

Passion for Promarkers - Week 2 - Pastel Pink and Apple

What a fabulous start to the Passion for Promarkers blog  - we had so many entries, it was almost a full time job for all of us on the DT to get round and see them all, and we're definitely not complaining. There were fabulous entries from crafters with all levels of promarker experience. We're so thrilled so many people took part in our first week and we're hoping all of you will be back for week 2. So please pop on over to Passion for Promarkers - the only rule is you have to use this weeks featured colours : Apple and Pastel Pink.

The prize this week is a gorgeous stamp from Whiff of Joy - its called Shy Willow and it is from the newly released Elisabeth Bell Summer collection.

So, on with my DT card for this week.

I didn't have any paper flowers that matched the colours I used so I picked out some white Papermania flowers from the black and white embellishment trio and coloured them with Apple and Pastel Pink promarkers

Flower centres are tiny paper flowers from stash and clear Papermania shimmer dots. Leaves are a fern punch from Emerald Crafts, punched from core'dinations card.

Pale pink card at the back is Doodlebug, pastel pink core'dinations card was embossed using the birds and swirls cuttlebug embossing folder and sanded

A Scottish Summer

Like everywhere else at the moment - believe it or not we have had the most stunning weather over the last week or so. And I thought I'd share some lovely sunny pics of the kids...

Willow and Faith being creative...

This was my cunning plan to keep them away from my precious promarkers while I did some DT work for Passion for Promarkers - please excuse my "concentration" face and the stupid hairdo, I was trying to keep all of my hair out of the way and the pineapple-look fitted the bill! Its such a hard life - NOT!

Faith practicing her cheesy grin...

the original pale blue boy - Scott...

and another cheesy grin from Oor Willow

Faith, Graham and Scott with the water rocket...

Faith, very cleverly, taking cover...

And Graham getting soaked because Scott set the water rocket off too early lol

New Baby 1
