Sketch Saturday's #53 Birthday Bash

I quite often use the sketches on Sketch Saturday, but have only entered the challenges once or twice. But I noticed they are celebrating their 1st birthday this week and to celebrate there is some Party Bag Candy up for grabs.

Here's how it works...

The design team have put together a small package each for one challenger, please go to each blog and put your name down on the relevant post, but please note: you are only eligible to enter each party bag candy once, and ONLY if you've already taken part in this weeks challenge too (please provide a link to your work in your comment on each blog).
We want to thank Sketch Saturday challengers so this is why it's only open to SS entrants!
(we will be checking!)

There is one difference though.... Each Party Bag Candy will close on each of the DT members blogs at 8:00 AM (UK time) on Friday 5th June, please note: FRIDAY MORNING.

The normal SS challenge (to win the goodies by The Craft Barn) will run until 11:59PM on the Friday evening as normal

So here's my entry...

Rachel

I'm doing my usual and skidding into the CCSR Stampin' Chic challenge at the 11th hour - I don't know what it is lol

So this weeks challenge was to Be Chic, and I decided to do a scrapbook page. My chums Beckie and Kath are on the DT over there and they've been encouraging me to pull my finger out and do more scrapbooking because the stamping has taken over my life, so here's what I've done.

I have used 3 patterned papers from the CCSR The Big One pad, I cut a rectangle from the turquoise circles paper and inked the edges with Queues Chalk inkpad, the circles were cut (using the x-cut shape cutter) from the turquoise check paper and again inked the edges as before, and the flowers were cut from the turquoise flower paper and inked as before.

I also added papermania flowers and brads from the embellishments trio pack, papermania adhesive gems, and the lettering is papermania cardstock letters.Oh and the white cardstock is papermania too

The photograph is of my dear friend Rachel, who I "met" online through Extra Special Parents, and met in real life last year when we went on holiday to Ibiza, where she lives. Rachel is such a beautiful and warm person (even if she is obsessed with food lol) and I just wanted to dedicate a page of my holiday scrapbook to her. Love you Rachel xxx
