Woohoo

Ooooo, am so chuffed - I have won a Top 3 position at Make It Colourful and I'm over the moon :) I've been following the MIC challenge blog for a while now and been totally blown away by the colouring skills of the team there. Well I finally got up the courage to enter last week's Colouring Black Hair challenge because I thought my brand new Simply Gorjuss stamps would be ideal.
Colour Addict Top 3
and here's the card I made for it...

Well, it's another beautiful day here - not a cloud in the sky, and can I just say the sky is the most gorgeous shade of blue - it really is the same as the promarker Sky Blue :) So because I'm not getting a whole lot of crafting done at the moment I think I'll take my box of stamped images and promarkers outside with me - might even get some tutorials made up too.
Whatever you're doing, have a great day

Gallivanting

well I'm making the most of this fantastic weather - and I'm trying to take as many pics as possible. People seem to think that Aberdeen - the Granite City, is a pretty miserable, grey and rainy place to stay and it really isn't. We have some of the most spectacular scenery in and around Aberdeen city and shire and I will always call this home - hmmm think I must have a hormone imbalance of some description, seem to be awfully emotional lately.
Anyway, I was off out to Torphins yesterday which is where I was born and bred, my parents still live out there as does my brother and his family, so I thought I'd share some pics of another beautiful day...
Faith having a sneaky wee grin to herself cos she managed to con another biscuit out of Nana

Playing nicely - lasted all of 5 minutes

 Clachnaben off in the distance

another (not so zoomed in) pic of Clachnaben

 Looking towards Craigmyle

Isn't this just a fab view that my mum and dad get from their house? if you double click on the pic you can see a tower on top of the wee hill in the centre of the photo - that is Scolty Tower near Banchory, which was built in memory of General William Burnett who fought alongside Wellington in the Napoleonic Wars.

I just liked the variety of trees behind their house - some Scots Pine...
 and some Silver Birch.

 and Beech

Pepsi enjoying the fresh country air

Scott having a break from terrorising the girls

And on the way home I just had to stop and take a pic of these new wee lambies

Glorious

I just love this weather, not a cloud in the sky - plenty of fresh air and fun. In fact this is one of the reasons why I want to move to Canberra, because they get more of this weather than we do.
Anyway, here are some pics from yesterday - I'm off for a jaunt out Royal Deeside to visit my mum and dad.
This is Ziggy trying to find the frog - he could hear him but he couldn't see him lol

I was lying on my back looking up at the trees and these colours just really appealed to me :)

Princess Pepsi, a wee bit puggled with the heat

Faith's so white she's almost pale blue lol

And Scott really is pale blue!
This is how close we live to the sea, isn't it fab??
