I give up

That's it - I've given up! I am making no more xmas cards this year. Everyone else is getting shop-bought ones.
I still have teachers/classroom assistants/playgroup leaders to do and then I've finished. Then I need to finish off the 3 I was asked to make by a customer. And the last thing I have to do is 5 more crackers.
Then I can finish wrapping xmas parcels and I can curl up and watch naff xmas movies lol

Hi Debbi,
Quite right. There is no point carrying on when it has become a chore. Hubby wasn't amused when he went to the post office to post mine - most of them were "large letter" size because my fancy flowers are so thick. Perhaps a rethink required for next year.Lol.
Hugs,

Quite right hun, you have to stop somewhere or else you're still doing them and giving them out on Xmas Eve lol

I had made some earlier in the year which is just as well or else the family would have got bought ones this year too, just not had the energy or inclination to make any lately lol

I gave up to Debbi...I was getting far too stressed trying to get them all done...but then I felt really guilty deciding who would get a shop bought one!lol
Gonna start straight away next year!

I know exactly what you mean! I made teachers' cards and gift boxes yesterday, have made cookies for them this evening. I have decided just to make immediate family their cards - but I spent £11 on 30 shop bought cards yesterday (OMG!!!) and I'll probably need more! (aaaggghhh!).
Love, Andrea xx

Good for you! The whole point is to enjoy making and sending them. If you aren't then it's time to STOP!
I do mine in dribs and drabs in the summer. If I don't have enough, it's store bought or none! I also rarely make 2 alike. Have to change it up or I get bored. Sometimes it's hard to figure out which one to send to who, but a lot more fun to make!
Enjoy some time with your feet up!

You go girl! I gave up with the last one at the weekend and thought stuff it! Anyone that I've forgotten is getting a shop card. I've made 60 cards this year but by the 45th it was becoming an effort. Why do we put ourselves through it I wonder? Have a super Christmas hun. Hugs, Squirrel xx
