Nooooooooooooooooooo, its melting

all our lovely snow has started melting, am so disappointed.
Graham trudged through the snow at 8 this morning to the train station to catch a train to the other side of the city, to be told that his flight won't be until 6pm tonight, so he's not a happy bunny. The heliport is teaming with men and women who got bumped yesterday.

My tesco shopping arrived this morning and the first thing the guy said to me was "sorry, you don't have any gren milk or cream because they have just burst all over your shopping" ARGH!!! so you can imagine the rather choice words
There were quite a few crappy substitutes that he's been sent back with, but at least I have everything for xmas dinner (apart from milk and cream)
I also ordered a couple of arctic rolls for the kids - when did they get so small??? I definitely remember them being a lot bigger than that when I was a kid
Anyway, better get on with damage limitation - the kids are trying to wreck the place and I'm trying to minimise the impact lol
Hope you're all well, and organised for the big day  - are you just too excited yet?

Hi Debbi
I'm off to Sainsburys later. At least it is only a mile away so I can choose exactly what I want. Hope you get some more snow and then Graham will have to come back home. Yes, I am getting excited. Hoping for some crafty goodies. Marianne x

I had a Tesco delivery last time covered in shampoo or it could have been toilet cleaner, so half was ruined. He took it back, I complained about more of it on the phone and they offered to replace it and deliver more the next day but I still don't know what I actually ended up paying! I do it because of my back, but have been going to Sainsburys since.
I am glad the snow is melting as I want my children to have a safe journey home tomorrow, then it can snow again!
I am not organised, I am so stressed and still making the last few cards, then have to wrap the presents!

I didn't get a home delivery this week cos when I checked the times the only day available was Monday and that was too soon. As it is I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have come out here today anyway. Had to go to Tesco at Ellon after work. Luckily it wasn't too bad and all the checkouts were open. Not easy to get just what you want tho compared to Danestone. eg really difficult to get organic milk. Still we'll survive! One of the snags of living in the country.

Hope you all have a lovely Christmas, including Pepsi of course.

Hi Debbi,
Sounds as though you've had a wonderful day???? I thought it was just me but everything seems to be smaller nowadays - artic rolls, mars bars, crunchies, penny caramels. Hubby says that rather than put prices up they reduce sizes.
Our 9" of snow is no showing signs of going yet and the forecast is below zero again so it might last.
Go carefully.
Hugs,

Its totally baltic (wiegie word) down here and they're saying -10 for tonight so our snow definitely ain't melting yet. Fleecy jammies are out for tonight. I am lucky, I got my Tesco delivery on Monday and everything was there and there was no mishaps, hope you get it all sorted. Hugs Dawn Marie.xx

We have about 4 inches of snow and it took me an hour to get to work this morning, it normally takes about 2o mins. Last day at work tomorrow and we are finishing early at 1 pm. Hubby off so he is going to 24 hour Tesco's at 7 in morning, hopefully he will be able to get all the last minute shopping. I had to laugh at the Arctic Rolls, Emily said she wanted one for Christmas but I couldn't find them anywhere and have had to make do with a Viennetta lol. She wasn't happy. Hope you have a fab Christmas and New Year. Debs xx

Oh hun, I can imagine the language! We struggled through the ice last night to our local (small) Tesco for the fresh things and managed to get in, and out, in 30 minutes so I was quite pleased. Getting out of their carpark was another matter. A lot of our snow is melting but the roads and pavements are now just sheets of compacted ice. Lethal. After my trek up to the bus for work this morning I now understand why penguins walk like they do! Hope today isn't too chaotic for you. Happy Christmas hun. Hugs, Squirrel xx

Hi Debbi,

At least you got your turkey on time for Christmas though lol.
I am so glad we are going to the in laws for our Christmas dinner tomorrow because I have enough trouble getting the pressies sorted, never mind the food as well lol.
I just joined ESP (well applied to join but you know what I mean). Had a good look around, it's a fab site :)
Hope you have a great Christmas :)
