My Buys

well, I've been getting quite good at treating myself lately, so I thought I'd share some pics of my buys.

I placed an order for some of the new ranges from DO-Crafts at Mad About Cards. I didn't really fancy the 2 new Papermania lines for scrapbooking so I didn't bother buying the 12x12 packs, instead I thought they would be perfect for card-making and bought the 6x6 pads of scrumptious and spring burst, and they look lovely - will come in handy for the sugar bowl challenges that I plan on doing this year. I know I've no chance of winning any of them as everyone else is far more experienced and, lets be honest, make far more professional looking cards than mine - but I just enjoy taking part. I find the sketches incredibly helpful, and I like to tinker about with them. Anyway, I digress, I also bought the 2 new Anita's Gemstone Wheels which contain a rainbow of 2 and 3 mm gem stones. Papermania also have a new collection of glitter flocking out - so I thought I'd try them out too. With Anita's bringing out a great new range of every day ribbons at only 69p a roll I just had to grab some of them too in some lovely chocolatey stripes and spots. And finally I bought 2 each of the spring burst and scrumptious notelet pads for 99p each - great for journalling, and I think some of them might also be good for inside cards.

Then yesterday I was off to Holburn Crafts, seeing as it was open again - at last!! and spent ages having a good rake. I was specifically looking to buy some liquid pearls, but they have these lovely new pearl pens in stock, so I bought 4 of them.

I also bought some Prima Say it with Crystals, as I think they will be stunning on layouts and I haven't tried them before. Another first was a bottle of glossy accents, again, something I've never tried before but am willing to give it a bash. And a 6x6 pad of Basic Grey Eva for cardmaking. I got a few other bits and bobs, C5 envelopes, string, stamp cleaner and reusable stuff for fixing unmounted stamps to acrylic blocks.

So now I have loads and loads of new things to try out - I just need to tie the kids down so I can get peace to try some of it out lol (I AM kidding btw)
