So it snowed....

I'm in a much better humour than I thought I'd be today - we have huge amounts of snow and I'm keeping everything crossed that Graham won't get to the heliport tomorrow morning.
All flights out of the heliport have been bumped today, so they now have a backlog to clear before they can do any new flights tomorrow.

There is actually a pond under there somewhere!!

The emergency services are now telling us NOT to travel at all up here, and for those who are working in the city to leave work early and go home. Aberdeen, according to the radio is completely clogged up with snow and abandoned vehicles.
I'm going nowhere, just hope Tesco make it out tomorrow with my turkey - but am not holding my breath, more snow forecast tonight and tomorrow and the best bit is we're expecting minus 13 degrees tonight!

Oh Debz, got everything crossed that you get to keep Graham home for Christmas, i need to go about 4 miles tomorrow to collect our turkey and joint of beef, but will be sending Errol thats for sure, i just can't stand driving in this snow at all, we;ve had loads this morning, but it is thawing already, so hopefully thats it for this side of the deen, as someone has to drive to Huntly on xmas eve and collect my mummy, or she'll be home alone at christmas.
Got to say looks like the kids have had a blast.

Oh Debbi these photo's are precious, the children look like they are having a super time and i love the snowperson with legs lol. I wish we had snow like that, we had just a fluttering here and then ice :( My children would be in their element with that much snow.
Have a wonderful christmas, looks like you will be having a white one :)
Love n hugs
Vikki xx

Oh Debbi,
Fingers crossed the backlog takes long enough to clear that your hubby manages to squeeze in Christmas at home where he belongs, with you and the kids.
My hubby left at 6.30am Monday and was stuck in Aberdeen for an extra night because of freezing fog. Am presuming he was heli-choppered out sometime today as he hasn't called to say otherwise.
Whilst I really wish he was here with us (he was away last Christmas too) I must admit to feeling sorry for the poor guys who are desperately waiting to get home after 3 weeks away and looking forward to Christmas with their families. You'd think we'd be used to it after 20 years but it doesn't get any easier, especially when you have kids.
However, at least he still has a job and for that we are truly thankful.
Hope you and yours enjoy a wonderful Christmas and Best Wishes to you all for 2010

Luv'n'Stuff

Wow you'll be having a white Christmas and let's hope with Graham. I have my fingers and toes crossed for you. Looks like a lot of fun in the snow for the family, great photos. Our snow is slowly disappearing now, though roads and pavements still icy. It is supposed to rain tomorrow, won't that be nice!! No white Christmas for us, methinks. Have a great time. Hope your turkey arrives. Marianne x
